SociologySociology deals with the study of human society. It investigates the social and cultural factors that shape how people live their lives, how they interact, and what they consider to be right and wrong. Sociologists can trace the origin of societal ideas to include religion, poverty, history, poverty, politics, community involvement, psychology, sociology, and social norms.Social issues are most commonly examined in the area of sociology. Societies that have their social values aligned with social issues do better than societies that do not. Societies that have no societal issues at all do better than societies that have many issues.There are three main areas of social issues in sociology. These areas are lifestyle, gender, and racial issues. Lifestyle is the major issue in families and work life; racial issues deal with ethnicity and race; and gender issues deal with class and education.One sociological viewpoint that is important to understand is that of society, or structu ralism. Society is the sum of all of the individuals within the society that interact with each other. The interaction between all of these individuals plays a large role in the society.Another sociological viewpoint is that of personal identity, which is the value of each individual's life and development for the purposes of reference. This identity is represented by a set of values that are unique to each individual.A third sociological viewpoint is that of psychological development. Psychological development is determined by social issues in the society that an individual comes from. Such issues include family, religion, politics, education, sex, crime, and drug abuse.Sociology is the study of social issues. Societies that accept their social issues with respect and consideration are more successful than societies that ignore these issues.Human relations are analyzed in social issues, where the relationships between individuals are examined. Social problems involve social issues, and not just economic issues. These social issues may include cultural values, race, identity, group identity, and health.
